You know ...You know I love you like my own, right? You know I ache for you and this struggle you've been given? I empathize with some of it, but I can't know how you truly agonize over this. I do jnow, however, that Heavenly Father adores you and your awesome man, and whatever is best for the Zollingers is still ahead of you. I know you can only eat so many shakes before that empty feeling sneaks back, but just know I'm sending a hug from your other mom and a few prayers heavenward as well. I love you. Stay strong and humble. jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01313127576303289593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-770737001218647577.post-69998580707860040462013-04-30T13:03:00.202-07:002013-04-30T13:03:00.202-07:00Wow, you have such a TALENT! I love that you can e...Wow, you have such a TALENT! I love that you can express what is in your mind so well, and so powerfully. I think you just hit the nail on the head with this one:

"The other reason I think we sometimes put up that fake dividing line between women is we don't understand what they are going through. Maybe this is sort of the opposite of the scenario described above, where we compare ourselves to others. Maybe sometimes we realize we CAN'T compare ourselves to others and it freaks us out. So we shy away from that person, because we don't know how to react or what to say to them. It's funny how both of the extremes end badly, isn't it?"

I have ALWAYS been bad at approaching situations that require any sort of confrontation, or comparison, or just plain awkwardness. Remember when I didn't tell you Sam and I were getting married because I didn't want to hurt your feelings? Yeah, THAT ended well... Just as you said - both extremes end badly. And I'm afraid I tend to be on the "don't ever mention anything" side of things. But why? Do I think situations will go away? I think it's because I hate to see others hurting. And in the meantime, I'm causing even more hurt by making people think I didn't think of them, or that I blatantly ignored them.

Hmmm... There was some rambling for you. I guess what I'm trying to say is that saying nothing because you don't know what to say is the wrong option.

There. I'm done. You're awesome. :)Sam and Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06002654177463796127noreply@blogger.com
